My Kraken

Which of my own traits is my own "Kraken"?

Copyright Owners: Bitsonline.com

My own Kraken is hate. I hate people who boast around. Some people who I personally know very well boast around showing up that they are very unique and are of great importance than us. Generally referring to themselves as the upper class which they actually aren't.

I think hate as my kraken because I should not hate anyone. Hating is not a good quality someone should possess. Let them do what they are doing. I should not interfere in other's personal life and should mind my own business.

Bonded Labor

"Bonded Labor".
How should the government protect the rights of bonded laborers?

Bonded labor is the act of enslaving a person as a bonded laborer because he has taken a loan which he cannot pay back. Bonded laborers are forced to work and are subjected to physical and sexual violence. Bonded labor is widespread in Pakistan.

According to the fourth and fifth conditions of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights nobody can make us slave neither can we make someone slave and nobody can hurt or torture us. Bonded laborers are subjected to physical violence. Thus, the loaners are clearly violating the universal charter of human rights.

Due to bonded labor spreading quickly in the rural areas of Pakistan, the government passed an act to abolish bonded labor system. Where as clause (2) of article 11 of the Constitution of Islamic Republic of Pakistan prohibits all forms of bonded labor. This act is known as the Bonded labor Abolition Act, 1992.

The passing of the Bonded Labor act shows that the government is interested in suppressing bonded labor but, in order to subdue the bonded labor mafia the government needs to take some more steps.

Firstly, the government should provide loan to poor people on easy installments. Thus, they won't need to take loan from private parties. Secondly, job opportunities should be given to illiterate people so that if indebted, they can repay their loans. Thirdly, the government should also repay their loans if the loaner is enforcing them to do so. Last but not the least, the government can also arrest loaners on violation of Bonded labor Abolition Act,1992 and of Human rights.

Personal Relationships or Financial common sense?

A picture from the Oxford University Press Blog, showing a picture of an old man and his spouse. They are poor but are still living their lives contently because they both care about each other.

Personal Relationships or Financial Common Sense.
Which Should I Prioritize?

If I were to chose between Personal relationships and Money, I will no doubt chose Personal Relationships. This is because money isn't everything in life. My first priority will be my Loved Ones.

Although, Money is one of the necessities of life but Personal Relationships are far better than Money. If you were given a choice to chose someone between your Mother and Money, who would you chose? Obviously MOTHER. The people who love you will love you whether you earn or not. Whether you are rich or poor doesn't affect their love. Healthy relationships are a vital source of health and well being, conversely, the health risks of being alone and or isolated in one's life are comparable to the risks associated with cigarettes smoking , blood pressure and obesity.

Those who love you when you have money and show their backs when hard times fall, actually love your money. You cannot measure money and personal relationship on one scale because personal relationship will surely outweigh money. Some poor people are happy because their loved ones are with them, while some rich people are very depressed because they all are alone.

Dissidence and the Government

Copyright Owners: Bandcamp.com
Dissidence is the act of non-violent protest against the government or monarchy (kingship) or the authority (i.e lawmakers and parliamentarians). It is basically to oppose the government.and refers to a peaceful protest during which no violence is made (i.e publishing about the government in a newspaper, blog, website or books etc.) Violence is not incurred in this case. It is usually carried out by literate people of usually higher statuses. (i.e lawyers, writers, bloggers, journalists etc.)

The government often looks towards their dissidents as their enemies and are eager to suppress them. As in a case in Bangladesh in which a group of bloggers were beheaded because they published against the  government. Another case in Iran was the same as in Bangladesh. On 6 January Iran's Ministry of Intelligence gave the statement of killing several dissidents and intellectuals with the help of it's agents. This killing came to be known as the Chain Murders. Although, it was later discovered that only four people were killed. For details of Chain Murders visit:  Article Published by Tehran Bureau on 14 December 2009 regarding Chain Murders.

In both of the above cases and in many more cases, what the government did was in no way correct. It was an act of brutality and a clear massacre. As most of the countries in the world now follow Capitalism, so the "Freedom of Speech" and the "Freedom of Expression" is granted to every member of the state. Thus, they are free to express their opinions about the government, the country or anything else and to say what they feel is right. If the government actually wants to stop them from opposing the government, there are other peaceful alternatives too. The government should meet the dissident and settle their differences. They should co-operate peacefully without violence. Using violent makes the government notorious. This will negatively effect the state economical (as less countries would trade with them because of their violent behavior) and socially(because they won't follow human rights and because of being notorious). Thus, it is very important to settle the differences and improve the relationships with peace. The government should tell the dissidents that what they are doing is not acceptable and should listen to the dissidents why they are doing this? By doing this the government promotes peace is looked upon as an innocent promoter. This will bring benefits to the government as well as the state.
